The multi year plan as required under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act, 2005 (AODA)
Statement of Organizational Commitment
Andre Construction is committed to excellence in serving and providing services to all customers including people with disabilities. We believe in integration and equal opportunity. We are committed to meeting the needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner and will do so by preventing and removing barriers to accessibility and meeting accessibility requirements under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
1. Accessible Emergency InformationAndre Construction is committed to providing employees with disabilities with individualized emergency response information when necessary. The individual’s disability will be taken into account when creating the plan(s). We will provide this information as soon as practicable after becoming aware of the need for accommodation. In addition, emergency procedures will be made available in an accessible format upon request.
2. TrainingAndre Construction will provide training to employees, volunteers and other staff members on Ontario’s accessibility laws and on the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Training will be provided in a way that best suits the duties of employees, volunteers and other staff members.
We will take the following steps to ensure employees are provided with the training needed to meet Ontario’s accessible laws by January 31, 2025:
- Train existing staff on the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (i.e., Information & Communication and Employment) and disability-related obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

- Amend existing OADA training material to include information on the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (i.e., Information & Communication and Employment) and disability-related obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code.

Andre Construction is committed to meeting the communication needs of people with disabilities and will take the following steps:
- By January 31, 2025, our Accessibility Plan and Accessibility Standard for Customer Service Policy will be posted on our website.
- By January 31, 2025, all web content will conform to WCAG 2.0, level AA.

Andre Construction is committed to fair and accessible employment practices. Andre Construction has taken and will take the following steps accordingly:
By January 31, 2025, and forward:
- Andre Construction will notify the public that it will accommodate the needs of people with disabilities by including an AODA clause in job postings.
- When scheduling and interview Andre Construction will include AODA statement inviting candidates to come forward with accommodation requests.
- When making offers of employment, Andre Construction will notify the successful applicant of its policies for accommodating employees with disabilities.
- Andre Construction will inform its existing employees of its accessibility policies, including and updates.
- This information will be provided to new employees as soon as practicable after commencing employment; and
- Andre Construction will take into account the accessibility needs of employees with disabilities when conducting performance reviews, providing careen development and advancement to employees.
